What Do You Offer for Children?
At First Baptist, we want children to learn how to walk with God. While the home is the primary vehicle for discipleship, our children’s ministry seeks to come alongside parents in equipping children to live out their faith. There are several opportunities for children to learn about following Jesus, and listed below are a few of those opportunities. If you have questions or would like more information, please contact our children’s minister, Bryson Long.
Our Children’s Minister, Bryson Long, leads a children’s sermon each Sunday morning towards the beginning of the 9:30am worship service. Children of all ages are encouraged to come down and sit with him in the front during this time. After the children’s sermon, preschool age children go to ED 301/302 for Extended Session and children in Kindergarten through 4th grades have the option to go ED 200 for children’s worship. Age graded First Groups for children meet on campus on Sunday mornings at 10:45am. You can find a list of First Group Leaders and locations by clicking here.
On Sunday nights at 6:00pm, children in Kindergarten thru 6th grades meet in the sanctuary for worship, and then head to a discipleship track.
On Wednesday nights at 6:00pm, children ages 2 thru 6th grade meet in the MAC for Awana to learn a lesson from God’s Word and play some fun games.
In addition to these regular weekly meetings, various activities and events take place throughout the year including CentriKid camp, Vacation Bible School, pool parties, movie nights, game nights, etc… Submit a request to join the FBC/WR Children’s Ministry Facebook page for dates and details about upcoming plans.
